Building Powerful AI Agents at Agentic AI Hack Night Hackathon
Co-hosted by Hyperpocket(Backed by VESSL AI) and Weaviate at GitHub’s office, the Agentic AI Hack Night brought together AI enthusiasts and developers eager to explore the next breakthrough of AI technology: Agents.
Over three hours of hands-on hacking, participants experienced how easily Hyperpocket integrates tools to build AI agents. From automating GitHub issues to testing new ways to use Hyperpocket, attendees explored creative ideas and built impressive projects.
Hacking, Learning, and Networking
The hackathon kicked off at 4:00 PM. Participants received their challenge materials, grabbed pizza, and dove into the Boost Challenge, which involved cleaning up GitHub issues. This gave everyone a hands-on look at how Hyperpocket streamlines tool integration.
Lidia Jaewon Yoo, Product Manager at Hyperpocket, delivered a Lightning Talk highlighting how essential tools are for enabling AI agents to take meaningful actions. She demonstrated how Hyperpocket eases the often cumbersome steps involved in authentication and configuration, illustrating this with real-world examples such as Slack, Google Calendar, and Linear.
Hands-On Hacking
From 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM, participants jumped into hacking, using Hyperpocket’s pre-built tools or developing their own.
Teams explored creative ways to automate workflows, from sorting GitHub issues with LLMs. Throughout the session, they shared ideas, collaborated, and refined their projects with real-time feedback.
Our Hyperpocket team was deeply engaged throughout the event—answering questions, troubleshooting challenges, and helping participants integrate tools seamlessly. We also facilitated connections between developers and industry partners, fostering discussions on future collaborations.
Community Demos and Wrap-Up
At 8:00 PM, the hackathon shifted to Community Demos, where participants showcased their projects. They demonstrated how they applied Hyperpocket to tackle GitHub issues and integrate with custom APIs.
A standout group, featuring Sagar Saija, Albert Yang, and Jaylen Manley, won top honors for their creative and efficient solutions.
The event wrapped up at 8:30 PM with a recap of the day’s achievements, highlighting the projects built and the connections made.
